Yes. Your $1 reservation is fully refundable, no questions asked.
Does reserving commit me to buy a Flippr?
No. Reserving doesn't commit you to anything. You decide whether to back Flippr when the Kickstarter campaign goes live.
Is Flippr a real product?
Yes. We have several working prototypes that we play with every day. It isn't ready for production yet. That's what the Kickstarter campaign is for.
Will the final product be different from the prototype?
Probably a little. We're still refining the design, materials and electronics for production. Our goal is to keep every feature you see on this site.
Is the Clippr remote included?
Yes. Every Flippr comes with the Clippr remote, a small clip with a red and a yellow button. Players clip it to their waistband and score their own points.
Do I need Wi-Fi to use Flippr?
No. The scoreboard works out of the box without Wi-Fi. You only need Wi-Fi for live scoring and firmware updates.
Do I need an app or an account?
No. Flippr works without an app or an account. You only need an account if you want our servers to send live updates to your webhooks. You can also connect Flippr to your own MQTT server instead, because we hate vendor lock-in too. Anyone with the unique web URL of your Flippr can watch the livestream, just like an unlisted YouTube video.
Which tournament software does Flippr work with?
Any software you like. Flippr sends every point in real time over MQTT. Our servers can forward each update to your own webhooks, or you can connect Flippr to your own MQTT server. Either way, you can connect your league or tournament software, a livestream overlay, or anything else you build yourself.
Can I use multiple scoreboards in one hall?
Yes. Every Flippr sends its own match data, so you can put one on every table and follow the whole hall live. You can also send player data and match settings to all your Flipprs. Run your whole tournament from one computer or smartphone.
Can I use Flippr in official league and tournament matches?
Yes. Flippr is built for official matches, and we're working on ITTF approval.
Do clubs get a discount?
Yes. Clubs that order multiple scoreboards get a discount. Get in touch and we'll send you a quote.
